Botox And Dysport
Botox and Dysport Injectables
Create a more youthful look with Botox and Dysport injectables. These popular non-surgical wrinkle reducing treatments help smooth skin and slow signs of aging by relaxing the muscles in the face.
Safe, effective, and quick to administer, both neuromodulators address aging issues in men and women. They work by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract, preventing facial movements that cause wrinkles related to expression.
Common treatment areas include the forehead, crow’s feet around the eyes, and frown lines between the eyebrows. When applied to the upper and lower lip, they amplify the shape and poutiness of the lips in a natural-looking way without the need for filler. Botox and Dysport can also raise the arches of the brows and open the eyes, the toxin “brow lift,” resulting in a younger-looking, more rested face.

FAQ
Botox vs Dysport: Which one should I choose?
Both Botox and Dysport provide preventive anti-aging for patients in their 20s through 60s to reduce wrinkles caused by expression also known as dynamic wrinkles. They come from the same botulinum toxin, a safe and effective neurotoxic protein that helps diminish wrinkles in the face and slow the aging process.
Both injectables work by temporarily relaxing facial muscles. Some patients respond better to Botox and others to Dysport. The options will be discussed with Dr. Langley at the time of the appointment.
Not sure which treatment to choose? We’ll happily assist in understanding the differences between Botox vs Dysport. If you’ve already tried Botox and want to try something new, Dysport is a great option that may provide a quicker onset and potentially lasts a little longer. The results are individual just as the treatment plan.
How long does it take to see results?
Results vary from person to person. Some people experience quicker results from Dysport and see a reduction in wrinkles in 2 to 3 days. The effects of Botox typically appear after one-two weeks. Results of both treatments peak at about 2 weeks. The effects of both last three to four months and can be repeated to maintain the desired effect.
Are there any side effects?
Botox and Dysport are safe, effective, and easy to administer with generally mild side effects, which may include slight bruising, swelling, and soreness. Rare side effects may include nausea and flu-like symptoms. If you have any concerns about Dysport or Botox, feel free to discuss them with us before treatment.
Who should not use neuromodulators?
Certain neurological conditions and allergies may make neuromodulator treatments unsuitable. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also avoid neuromodulator treatments. If you have any concerns, make sure to consult with us first to ensure your safety before receiving treatment.
