This product is appropriate for most skin types including normal, dry, combination, and oily skin. It is intended for individuals experiencing signs of photo-aging, including fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, sun spots and enlarged pores.
How should I use it?
If you are new to using a retinol cream, we advise that you start out with the milder version of this product, Retinol 0.5%. Retinol is most effective when used at night and applied over a light moisturizer. Use only a green pea size amount. Discontinue 2 days prior to waxing, glycolic peels or microdermabration. Be sure to use a daily broad-spectrum sunscreen such as Physical Fusion UV Defense spf50, as retinoids may increase sun sensitivity.
Although retinoids have the most scientific evidence supporting claims to rebuild collagen and diminish fine lines and wrinkles, they can sometimes be difficult to use. Seek professional advice when choosing a retinoid for your skin. In the beginning, you may experience flaky, irritated skin and fine lines and wrinkles may look more pronounced. To reduce side effects, start use your retinoid cream every other night at first. This will allow the skin to acclimate to the product. Gradually increase frequency of use as tolerated by your skin.
